

Diana Lee (Dean) Mofield, 79, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2026. She lived her life with vitality, tenacity, and generosity. While she insisted on doing things her way and on her own terms, life with Diana was full of excitement and treasured friendships. She leaves behind a legacy of love for family, laughter, and cherished memories.
Diana will be remembered by everyone she met. She enjoyed flowers, decorating, spending time in the sunshine, visiting with family, talking with friends and loving her many Yorkie’s over the years. She was a pioneer in Evansville girls soccer, serving as a coach for the first North High School girls soccer team in 1984. A cancer survivor since 1999, she faced life with resilience and strength, never letting it slow her down.
Over a career spanning 30 years, Diana was a supervisor at Windsor Plastics/Guardian Automotive. In her retirement, she embraced time with friends, boating and camping, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and performances. She also served on the board of the French Island Boat Club, where she enjoyed her river camp and home.
She was the daughter of Bernard and Lorraine Dean. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings John, Linda, her twin Dennis, Sharon, and Connie. She is survived by her brother, Tom Dean (Sharon) of Evansville, IN.
Diana is also survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Steven Mofield. She was a loving mother to Scott Alvey (Kimberly), Michael Alvey (Laura) and Alan Alvey. She showered affection on her many grandchildren including Damion Alvey, Rebekah Alvey, Ryan Alvey, Nickolas Alvey, Bristol Alvey and great-granddaughter Gracelyn Alvey along with many nieces and nephews. She also is lovingly missed by her sweet Yorkie, Mae.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Alexander North Funeral Home, 4200 Stringtown Road in Evansville. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Chad Eckels. Burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery, 1800 St. George Road. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. at Venue 812, 1401 N. Boeke Road, Evansville, Indiana 47711.
