Donald Lee Hassebrock, 73, of Newburgh, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017, at his home. He was born October 23, 1943, in Nashville, IL, to the late George and Louise (Edwards) Hassebrock. He was the middle child of seven children.
He retired from CSX Railroad after 43 years of employment. He enjoyed going to Florida in the winter months with his wife of 52 years, Rosalee, and in the summer to their camp at Outback RV Resort. He loved to go camping and fishing.
Donald is survived by his wife, Rosalee; daughters, Michelle (Hassebrock) Jones and Kimberly (Hassebrock) Askins; brother, Jerry Hassebrock; sister, Judy Pease; grandchildren, Travis Gonterman, Paige Withrow, and Cierra Jones; and great-grandchildren, Carson Payne and McKenzie Gonterman.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Alexander East Chapel, conducted by Celebrant Carrie Hatchett, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
