Donald L. McGhee

Donald graduated from Reitz High School and was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He retired from SIGECO as an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor after 44 years of employment. Donald was a member of Lessing Lodge 464 and former member of the Hadi Shrine. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and collecting model trains.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Alma (Egli) McGhee; and sister, Iona Ray.

Donald is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne McGhee; daughter, Debra Hunt (Rick) of Bowling Green, KY; and son, Brian McGhee (Anna).

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Asera Care Hospice and River Point Health Campus, for their loving care; especially Jo Ellis and Kim Johnson.

Services will be 10:30AM Monday, January 20, 2014, at Alexander North Chapel with burial in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday, January 19, 2014, from 2:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.
