Donald P. Niedhammer

Don attended Reitz High School, graduating in 1953. He retired from Whirlpool in 1979. He owned and operated Niedhammer Excavating until 1998. Don enjoyed winters in Tavares, FL and having lunch with his Hornville family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. Niedhammer; parents, Jacob C. and Catherine L. (Grant) Niedhammer; son, Christopher Niedhammer; step-son, Robert Duncan; step-grandson, Zac Felkey; and brother-in-law, George Derner.

Don is survived by his sister, Carol Derner, Henderson, NV; daughter, Elizabeth Niedhammer; son, Cameron Niedhammer (Dee); step-daughter, Deborah Felkey (Jack), Bozeman, MT; step-son, Tom Duncan (Karen), Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Jessica Volz, Chris Niedhammer, Amanda and Luke Felkey, Andy Duncan; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11:30AM, Monday, February 17, 2014, at Alexander North Chapel officiated by Rev. Reno DeMuth with burial in Bluegrass Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday, February 16, 2014, from 2:00PM until 7:00PM and Monday from 10:00AM until service time at the funeral home.
