Donna was born December 24, 1943, to the late Violet (Vice) Baumgartner. Donna was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Those who knew her well knew her lovingly as “Wolfie”. She graduated in the class of 1961 from Bosse High School, and loved to keep up with her classmates and attended every reunion.
Her greatest joy was her family, and she spent every second she could with them. She was known to never miss a birthday, special moment, or event, no matter how small. Holidays and celebrations were where she shined, filling the room with stories, laughter, and carrying a special bag of treats in her purse. Christmas was her favorite time of year, where she brought all of her family together in her home for the annual tradition of ham and presents, and her infamous “Mootsie Tootsie” gift box that everyone hoped they got as they opened each gift.
Even outside of holidays, her home was always full. When her children were young, she would openly host all of their friends, and made sure no one ever went home without a full stomach. She had the longest memory too, and would share stories about those friends decades later. Donna valued building a strong bond with her children. She always took the time to take special interest in her children's hobbies; she knew all of Mark's favorite ball players’ statistics and kept track of every toy car in Michelle's collection. Her devotion to her family was unmatched.
She always treated others with kindness; you could never have a quick errand with her on account for all the friends she’d see or make along the way. Donna lived her life with the most honorable values - everyone who knew her had only good things to say about her.
She was preceded in death by her mother (2005) and her brother (2002), Tom R Wolf. Donna is survived by her husband of 62 wonderful years, William “Bill” Miles; her daughter, Michelle (Tony) Loehrlein; son, Mark (Rachael) Miles; her sister, Carolyn (Jerry) Daniels; her grandchildren, Tyler (Ashley) Stinson, Alexandra “Alex” (Tim) Moonitz, Ryan Loehrlein, Dylan Loehrlein, Autumn (Stephen) Sleziak, Brooke (Jordan) Wispinski, Haley Miles, and Allison Miles; her great-grandchildren, Chloe and Ellie Stinson, and Josie Moonitz; and many nieces and nephews.
The family asks that any memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
