Doris May Smith, 88, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Columbia Healthcare. She was born May 3, 1933, in Princeton, Indiana to the late Clarence and Ethel (Finny) Kiefer.
Doris was a member of the Charlie Pride Fan Club. She graduated from F.J. Reitz High School. Doris had attended Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader, loved classic country music, and enjoyed puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randall Smith; and siblings, Earl Kiefer and Jean Kiefer Blesch.
Doris is survived by her children, James Smith, Christine Smith-Adcock (Tony), William Smith (Misty), and Donald Smith; daughter-in-law, Lois Smith; grandchildren, Daniel, Bradley, Joshua, Christopher, Jamie, Eric, Michael, Keeli, Zachary and Abigail; several great grandchildren; brother, Roy Kiefer and sister, Judy Engerhardt
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Blue Grass Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
