Doris S. Walker

She was a life-long resident of Evansville and graduated from Bosse High School in 1948.

She retired from Jesse F. Stock Insurance, Inc. in 1992 where she was Commercial/Marketing Manager. She had earned the professional designation of Accredited Advisor in Insurance from the Institute of America.

Doris was a member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel.

She and her husband were active in square dancing in both Evansville and Harlingen, TX where they had a winter home.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Sally (Broadley) Shirley and husband, Henry F. Walker.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Alice Walker of Evansville; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Suzanne and Seth Jackson of McMinnville, OR; two grandsons, Rick Fletcher and Ryan Fletcher, both of Evansville and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Randy Owens, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
