Dorothy L. Ellis Anderson

She was an avid member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and a life member of VFW Auxiliary #2953. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, reading and family vacations in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Lena Ellis; sister, Maggie Cobb; brother, Alfred Ellis; and son, Ted Anderson.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, George Anderson; daughters, Georgia (David) Barton of Virginia Beach, VA and Betty (Donnie) Becker; daughter-in-law, Brenda Anderson; grandchildren, Cody Becker, Brad (Debbie) Anderson, Todd Anderson and Heather Pinkerton of Virginia Beach, VA; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Don Gray, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
