Dorothy Marie Brannon

Dorothy graduated from Bosse High School in the class of 1945. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Evansville College and a Master of Science degree from Indiana University. She taught business education for 32 years at North High School, retiring in 1988. She was also Chairman of the business department for 21 years.

Dorothy was a member of East Side Christian church (Disciples of Christ) for over 60 years. She was also a member of the Henry Vanderburgh chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry C. and Hazel Brannon; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn J. and James W. Pearson; and brother, Donald L. Brannon.

Dorothy is survived by her sister-in-law, Helen Brannon of Chester, Maryland; nine nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM on May 5, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. John Rich, with burial at Sunset Memorial park. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
