Dorothy Dress Moore

Dorothy Dress Moore, 94, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019. She was born May 16, 1924 in Evansville to the late Elmer and Edna (Mueller) Weitzel. She was a graduate of Bosse High School and attended Purdue and Indiana State Universities. Dorothy graduated from Evansville College with a degree in Home Economics and Business, She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ. Dorothy was preceded in death by husbands, William B. Dress and Dr. Vesper Moore; sisters, Vernita Maxwell and Gloria Grey, and special friend, Charles W. Haag. She is survived by stepchildren, Dr. William B. Dress, Richard Dress and Alice Dress; niece and nephews, Debby Collins, Doug Grey and Dennis Grey; cousin, Jim Weitzel, and close friends, Joan David and Joanie Schmitt. A Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2019 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, with a reception following.
