I was the first of three children born to Ingersoll and Roseanna Bradfield Jackson.
My sister, Martha Louise Jackson Sago, and my brother, Harold James Jackson preceded me in death.
I graduated from Froebel High School in Gary, IN. and Purdue University School of Nursing. As a nurse, I worked at Indiana State Prison, Hospitals, and Nursing Homes in Indiana and Illinois for over 35 years, retiring at the age of 65 yrs. Due to failing health, at the age of 76, I moved to Hopkinsville Ky. to be near a daughter of like faith.
I truly loved my family and loyal friends. I did my best to keep in-touch with them regardless of the hour on a regular basis, and to be supportive, not only in a crisis, but always ready to lend a listening ear and offer scriptural comfort.
I loved our family gatherings in my yard, and looked forward to getting together for good fun, and good food. As you ALL know, one of my joys in life was to travel—preferable by car.I never ceased to be awed to behold the beauty to Jehovah’s creation. Another joy in my life was to experience the friendship and true love of my spiritual Brothers and Sisters-John 13:35 and the love we shared for Our Heavenly Father, Jehovah.
I was adamant about keeping my word—Your word should be your bond, my father taught from infancy-‘Your word should be good enough to take to the bank’. ’I sincerely hope that during my lifetime I showed my profound gratitude “for the bridges that brought me over”.
My greatest “pet peeve “TARDINESS’—I’d rather be one hour early than to be one minute late.
I would often reflect on that Sunday October morning in 1954 when Sis Ossie Lowe knocked on my door and answered questions from the Bible that I had long sought. I had so many more questions; therefore I started a weekly study of the Bible----2Tim 2:15 and John 17:17
The GREATEST joy of my life was on July 23, 1955 at the ‘Triumphant Kingdom Convention’ in Chicago, Illinois. I was one of the 620 others; where I symbolized my dedication by being baptized as one Jehovah’s Witnesses. I was blessed with the privilege of sharing in declaring HIS Kingdom—Matt 28:19, 20
I was soooo grateful to have been taught by Jehovah!!!
