She retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company after 34 years of service.
Dorothy was an incredible mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed painting, drawing, and working with her plants.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Core Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their compassion and care in their time of need.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Mel Grisham in 1975; parents, John and Irene Hast.
She is survived by her daughters, Melva Hawkins, Shirley Mills and husband, Mac; son, Thomas Grisham and his wife, Lucy all of Evansville; brothers, Robert and Donald Hast of Mt. Vernon, IN; grandchildren, Andrea Howard, Kari Shelton, Jon Mills; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd, Evansville, IN with burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 3:00 until 8:00 at Alexander North Chapel.
