Dorothy L. Jolly, 88, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Pine Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 2, 1922, to the late Christ E. and Daisy M. (Chapman) Peters, in Evansville.
Dorothy worked for the Teamsters Union #215 for 38 years.
She was a member of The Cathedral; Marine Corp. Ladies Auxiliary, and was a “Call Girl” for the Marine Corp.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Roy E. Jolly, Jr. who died in 2006.
She is survived by her three sons, Steven M. Jolly, Mark (Michele) Jolly, and Chris Jolly; grandchildren, Laura Jolly (Nick Crawley), Emily Jolly, Kevin Jolly, Lesley Jolly, and Shani Wiggins (Jo’Van); sister, Mary Pinkston; great-grandchildren, Gianna and Gibrian Wiggins; and nieces.
Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
