Dorothy enjoyed sewing and music, Friday Senior Citizen Fellowship, and spending time with family and friends. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and was a bookkeeper for the Mt Vernon Courthouse until she was married. Dorothy was a longtime member of Bethel United Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Glenn Rowley in 1995, and brother, Edwin Jourdan.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Corlis Smith (Jeff), Claire Rowley; and granddaughter, Lauren Smith.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue. A private Funeral Service will be held with Rev. Stephanie Weiner officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Evansville Protestant Home, Dr. William Hardesty and staff, Southern Care Hospice, and special caregivers, Lawanda Kirsch and Juana Mauk for their care and compassion to Dorothy.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Church of Christ or Vineyard Community Church.
