In the middle of this storm, the one outside and the one within me, He sends a rainbow. Only hours after receiving the phone call that my beloved brother had finally reached his goal of heaven, I received a phone call from my precious grandaughter telling me that she is expecting. A new great grandchild. On the same day that my heart is pierced by the loss of my beloved brother, God sends a Blessing. Not replacing the space in my heart where Dwight will always reside but preparing another corner of it to receive this new tiny gift of life. My brother was 6 ft 5. it is a giant space he holds in my heart. Right now I see him moving over, making room for this new baby just as he did in his home for this babies mother and her mother when they needed a place to live. He was an awesome big brother. I will miss him every day. His life was fraught with many storms, many he felt he could not weather. But, God never left his side. He never let go of Dwight's hand even when my brother tried to let go from his side. Our Father God and His Son Jesus made sure that their Holy Spirit surrounded him until February 11, 2021 when it was God's time to bring Dwight home.

Dwight helped me so much with activities. He assisted with church services for our residents. His spirituality was so strong. I really miss him.

Dwight could be so very thoughtful. One night when we were practically living up at St. Mary's with my husband's mother when she was bad, he surprised us with a wonderful dinner for us all. And he never missed a day visiting with our Pastor Chuk when he was so bad, near the end. He could be wonderfully kind.

I have always loved hearing the stories of all of my Dad's cousins growing up especially the ones involving Dwight, Curt and Von. I enjoyed getting to visit with Dwight a few years ago at an art show with my dad- i know they made some special memories together in recent years. Sending prayers of thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father that Dwight's family can take comfort knowing he is resting in His care. I'm so terribly sorry for your loss.

Dwight us my cousin, and we pretty much grew up together. He and my brother Steve loved race cars, and Dwight also loved motorcycles. My most recent memories will be if him calling me on a regular basis , checking to make sure I was doing ok, while fighting cancer. He always ended our talks by him praying for me. I know he is free now, and getting used to Heaven, and visiting with family that went before him. I will most defiantly miss his calls and prayers! I love you Cuz !
