Edith Johnson, 92, formerly of Evansville, IN, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. She was born January 4, 1921, in Pike County, IN to the late Cecil and Clara (Clark) Meadors.
She was the bookkeeper for her husband’s painting & decorating company. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Daughters of the Nile.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harvey Johnson, in 1996.
She is survived by her son, Terry (Su) Johnson; three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.
Services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, with private burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 5:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
