Esther Stabenfeldt

She was an active member of the church, her most recent being Bethel United Church of Christ. She was a founding member of the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus and played the organ at the Good Samaritan Home for many years. She volunteered at Caze and Vogel Schools. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood.

She loved family, children and music.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, in 1990.

She is survived by her sons, David (Pam) Stabenfeldt of Bakersfield, CA, Alan (Debbie) Stabenfeldt of Evansville, Steve (Sandy) Stabenfeldt of Newburgh, and Mike Stabenfeldt of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua of NY, Sarah of Clarkston, GA, Ray of Collinsville, IL, Nathan of Evansville, Peter of Evansville, and Courtney of Newburgh; and brother, Kenneth and Marian Miller of North Tonawanda, NY.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dr. Robert Melhorn, with entombment in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
