She was employed by Prudential Insurance, Whirlpool, and for 23 years at Welborn Hospital.
Evelyn was a pianist at New Haven Baptist Church. She was an avid Nascar and Indianapolis Colts fan. She enjoyed doing crafts.
She is survived by her daughter, Candy Langston; sons, Daniel G. Hart and Richard D. Hart; brothers, Joseph Logsdon and Louis Logsdon; six grandchildren; one step-grandchild; five great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jeff Logsdon and Rev. Russell Dazey with burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
