Evelyn was Ken's favorite Aunt. He always looked forward to visiting with Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Jesse when they visited Tennessee. There was always shared laughter and memories with these sweet visits. We will always miss her. But, knowing she and Uncle Jesse are together again is comforting. Sending love and hugs to Cousins, Debie, Shelly and families. Ken & Cindy Smith, Clarksville, TN

I lived next door to Evelyn & Jesse from the time I was 2 until I left home. They were great neighbors and like my second set of parents. I remember all of us sitting in our driveway every summer eating watermelon or sitting in our front yard to watch fireworks from the Sunset drive-in. Evelyn was a great cook. I thought of her often. I know there is a large hole in your life but remember, we will all see her again when God calls us home. My deepest sympathy and love to your family.

Shelly and I have remained friends since first grade. I spent lots of time at Shelly’s house and Evelyn was always so nice. I loved her Tennessean accent. I especially remember the weekend I went to Springfield to her parents home. I have talked about it often and my husband now says when we travel to Nashville seeing the exit “I know that is where Shelly’s Mom and Grandparents are from”. Sending sincerest sympathy and love to the family.
