Widowed in her 40s, Floy became the sole proprietor of the Key Motel and Cafe, a businesswoman in an era of only businessmen. She worked long hours and led the way in civil rights in a small Southern community by welcoming all guests. Floy held her own in business transactions and supported and protected those closest to her. This strong, loving, gracious woman will be celebrated and sorely missed.
Special thanks to Pastor Andy and the members of Methodist Temple for their continued support, the staff at Golden Living-Woodlands for their excellent care, and Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
