

He graduated from F. J. Reitz High School in 1959 and after graduation he proudly served his country in the Army Reserves and then went on to marry Donna Marie Jones in 1968. Frank worked as a salesman for Emge Packing Company and retired from Field Packing Company after receiving the Top Sales Award for the sixth year in a row. He was a member and former Trustee of Fort Branch First Presbyterian Church. Frank was a 50 year member of Fort Branch Masonic Lodge, Evansville Scottish Rite, and Hadi Shrine Temple. He enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors, as well as cheering on his grandchildren’s athletic teams and his favorite teams: Indiana University, St. Louis Cardinals, and Gibson Southern football.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Barbara Chandler, and her husband Vernon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Lear; children, Paula Harding (Jason) of Evansville and Gregory Lear of Fort Branch; grandchildren, Evan Harding, Connor Harding, Ella Harding, Abby Lear, and Spencer Lear; sister, Donna Rexing (Alvin); and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Dale Beaver. Burial will take place in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Alexander West Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fort Branch First Presbyterian Church or Heart to Heart Hospice.
