

Fred was a member of the class of 1957 at Mater Dei. He was a Journeyman Electrician from 1958-2012. Fred retired from St. Mary’s Hospital. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church since 1977, where he served as a Deacon. Fred enjoyed volunteering with his wife, Cathy, at Lutheran camps all over the country. He was good- hearted and always willing to lend a hand. Fred could fix anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde J. and Mary Alma (Johnson) Frick; brother, Clyde R. Frick (Dorothy); sister, Mary Ann (Frick) Williams (Kenneth); son-in-law, Randy Dunn; sister-in-law, Sylvia (Rode) Westfall.
Fred is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cathy (Rode) Loeffler- Frick; daughters, Diana (Frick) Dillbeck and Dana (Frick) Ayers; son, Darren F. Frick; grandchildren, Parker B. Ritzert, Paige N. (Ritzert) Redd (Kyle); and the mother of his children, Dixie Frick Brown; step- daughter, Julie A. (Loeffler) Walker (Bernie) of Duluth, MN; step-son, Jerry R. Loeffler of Evansville and step-son, James W. Loeffler (Ann) of Plano, TX; step-grandchildren, Grace, Samantha and Grant Walker, Quentin, Aaron, Sam and Sarah Loeffler; nieces, Cherl Purkheiser, Betty Jo Frick and Debbie Skaggs; nephew, Larry Williams; sister-in-law, Wilberta (Rode) Lelle (Jack) and Cathy’s nieces and nephew.
Fred’s family extends a special thank you to the staff of West River and Kindred Hospice.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 100 E Michigan St. Evansville, IN officiated by Rev. Chad Eckels and Rev. Matthew Schilling. Friends may visit 3-7 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel and Friday 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
