

He was a big man with a big heart. He was a US Marine and an MP in the Indiana Air National Guard. After 28 years of employment, he retired from Alcoa in 1993 as a Pot Room Supervisor. He was an Assistant Scout Master and an Umpire for Youth Baseball. He was a NASCAR and IU fan and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, in 2008; parents, Ollie and Gertrude Nau; and brothers, Ronnie, Harold and Clifford.
He is survived by his sons, Kenny (Patti) Nau and Steve (Jennifer) Nau; daughters, Debi (Mark) Riggles and Karen (David) Burns, all of Evansville; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin, with entombment in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made the American Diabetes Association.
