Georgia Vaughan Schlundt, 93, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 03, 2011, at The Good Samaritan Home. She had been a resident there for the past six years. She was born May 20, 1918, in Kentucky.
She was a devoted homemaker who used her talents in many volunteer pursuits; including Girl Scouts room mother, Rehab Center van driver, and Sunday school teacher.
Georgia was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert H. Schlundt.
She was the loving mother of Gordon Schlundt (Mary Ann) of Evansville; Robynn Van Horne (Bill) of Chicago; and her loving grandchildren, Jill Schlundt, Cathy and Will Van Horne. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
Her family greatly appreciates the wonderful nurses and staff at The Good Samaritan Home where she was kindly and affectionately cared for.
There will be a private family service with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday, July 5, noon to 2 PM, at Alexander East Chapel.
Georgia was a longtime member of Bethel United Church of Christ where donations will be accepted in her name.
