Gerald Douglas Kuhn, 79, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at the Heritage Center. He was born on May 16, 1941, in Evansville, IN, to the late Russell Edward Kuhn and Alice Martina (Chapin) Kuhn. Gerald was a resident of Doraville, GA for many years.
He served in the Navy from 1959-1965, serving on the USS Howard W. Gilmore (AS16). Gerald went to Harwood Grade School and Central High School. He was employed as a dental lab specialist in crowns and bridges, in both Evansville and Atlanta, GA.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s he was co-owner of Randys on the city’s West Side with his friend Bob Giletto. Gerald enjoyed playing tennis, golf and billiards. His billiards team once placed 5th nationally.
Gerald was a resident of Heritage Center for the past 15 years. The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care and support Gerald received there.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Russell Edward Kuhn Jr.
Gerald is survived by his sisters, Brenda Murphy (John) and Alice Rademacher (John); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private burial service will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Spirit Fund at Animal Care and Control. Gerald loved dogs. We are sure Gerald believed all dogs go to heaven and Tinkerbell, Mike and Pat, Mickey and Molly, Cindy and Cookie were surely waiting for him Sunday morning.
