Her late husband, David, retired from the US Army in 1957 and they moved the family to Evansville in 1959. She worked as a seamstress for 25 years at Shane Manufacturing. She was a good cook and homemaker who enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting and needlepoint. She also enjoyed helping her son rebuild and remodel several older homes in the downtown area.
She is survived by her sons, Dieter of California, and Leslie of Evansville; granddaughter, Kristi Day of California and two great-grandchildren Mathias and Morgan.
She was laid to rest Thursday, April 16, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Douglas Hatler and the Deaconess Primary Care team for their support over the years.
