

Gertrude “Trudy” Martin Rickard, 82, of Evansville, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Braun Rehabilitation Center.
Trudy retired from Keller Crescent after 27 years of service. She walked with Jesus every day. Trudy put her family first and loved her children and grandchildren. She brought family together by her cooking and hospitality, especially during holidays. Her hobbies included crocheting, travel, cooking and spending time at the family farm.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, David Rickard; daughter, Diana Page; brothers, James Martin and Edward Way; sister, Juanita Dominquez; brothers, Robert Martin and Frank Martin; sister, Mary Robbins; and daughter-in-law, Dawn Rickard.
Trudy is survived by her sons, Kenneth Rickard (Patty) and Robert Rickard; grandchildren, Juanita Carr, Shannon Rickard, Deborah Rickard, Kenneth David Rickard, Hilleri Maroni, Hollie Newsham and Matthew Rickard; great-grandchildren, Kacey Myers, Alex Coon, Austin Maroni and Nikolas Newsham; great-great-granddaughter, Chevy Fierce; sister, Carol Sodders (Keith); and nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Elder Bobby Marshall, with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson, Kentucky. Friends may visit Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
