Glenn A Gee

Glenn "Allen" Gee of Evansville, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the age of 79. Allen was born on December 1, 1946, in Evansville, Indiana, to Chester "Glenn" and Elizabeth (Libby) Grayson Gee.

Allen graduated from F. J. Reitz High School in 1964. He was an ironworker for Local 103 for many years. He loved to play pool, play basketball, fish, hunt, and run dog trials.

He attended many churches since his youth and for many years attended United General Baptist Church. He wrote and sang gospel songs and made several CDs of his music.

Allen is survived by his daughter Stephanie (Mike) Crandell of Evansville, and son Jared Gee of Columbia, Maryland, partner Rich Valenza. He is survived by brother Larry of Rockport, sister Lana (David) Bunner of Evansville, and sister Letha (Keith) Deig of Mt. Vernon. He is also survived by grandchildren Jordan (Kaitlyn) Crandell, Lauren Crandell, Melody Valenza, Joseph Valenza, and great-grandson Wesley James Crandell. As well, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Tonya.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Alexander Funeral Home West, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN, 47712. Services led by Brother Raymond Abbott will begin at 11:00 a.m. with burial at a later time.
