Gloria D "Dody" White

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Evansville.

Gloria retired from Crescent Plastics after 39 years of service. She was a life member of the VFW #1114 Ladies Auxiliary.

She loved Florida and lived in Leesburg, FL 6 months out of the year. She was a member of Okahumpka Baptist Church in Florida. Gloria enjoyed playing games with friends, her pets, spending time with family and friends, gardening, and flower arranging.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Viola McAtee; and brothers, Robert and James McAtee.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gerald L. White of Evansville; son, Gary White (Mary); daughter, Brenda S. White; three grandchildren, Amy Alves (Matt), Brandon White, Jason White; aunt, Ida McIntosh; and cousin, Deanna Williams (Daymon) all of Evansville.

Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, November 8, 2010 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd., Evansville, with entombment at Oak Hill Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Ray Deeter. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 to 8:00 PM November 7, 2010 at Alexander North Chapel and from 9:00 until service time on Monday.
