Gwendolyn C. Jones

She worked at Indiana Bell/AT&T as a telephone operator for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading, ceramics, crocheting and working crossword puzzles.

Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Robert Jones; siblings, William, Herbert and Vincent Barnes, and Lillian Strange.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Jim) Wagner and Sheila (Ed) Hoehn; grandchildren, Tim (Jane) Wagner, Kristi (Rocky) Hicks and Lori (Jim) Perkins; great-grandchildren, Zack (Shaina) Hicks, Olivia and Samantha Hicks, and Elizabeth and Jake Wagner; two great, great-grandsons; and brother, Delmar Barnes.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at St. Philips Catholic Church, 3500 St. Phillips Rd., Mt. Vernon, IN 47620, officiated by Father Burns, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, and Tuesday from 9:15 AM until service time at the church.
