Hazel Jeanette Shelton Burress

Her main interest and love was raising her family.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, William Burress; son, Terry Burress; parents, William and Lucille Shelton; and brothers, Norman and Roger Shelton.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry W. (Nancy), David R. (Theresa), William E. Jr. (Carol) and Michael (Candi) Burress; daughter, Patricia L. Burress; grandchildren, Joshua, Amy Jo, David Jr., Rusty, Heather, Amanda, Adam, Billy III, Lisa, Thomas, Jessie, Jacob, Dain, Molly, Danielle, Beau and Brooke; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill and Thomas Shelton; and sisters, Pat Jost and Phyllis Grant.

Services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Westpark Rehabilitation Center for their care.
