Helen was one of the owners and operators of the Old Courthouse Art Gallery. She was a member of the Evansville Artists Guild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmet Donald Cox and son, Anthony Bryan Cox.
Helen is survived by her son, Alan Burton Cox of Evansville; one brother; several sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Floyd Baker with burial at Bellefontaine Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, IN. Friends may visit Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and on Thursday from 11:00 AM until service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to a local favorite charity.
