Helen C. Hess McLeod

Helen C. (Hess) McLeod, 80, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Evansville Protestant Home. She was born February 3, 1935, in Rockport, IN to the late Robert H. and Lillian (Hogland) Hess.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting for her friends and family. Helen loved her family and her favorite color was green. She enjoyed hummingbirds, deers, and collecting salt and pepper shakers and pill boxes.

Helen was preceded in death by her sisters, Florence Bullock and Areldean Lanham; and brother, Robert Hess.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Russell W. McLeod; daughter, Doris J. (Timothy M.) Jarred; granddaughter, Victoria A. Jarred; sister, Martha Kasks; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Celebrant Carrie Hatchett, with entombment in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:30 am until service time at the funeral home.
