

Helen was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and was a member of United Methodist Women.
She retired after 30 years from Scott School Cafeteria.
Helen was a beautician. She started her career at Schear’s Department Store and owned her own beauty shop for many years.
She enjoyed playing cards and working puzzles. Helen was an avid sports fan.
Her family called her the “Best Noodle Maker Ever.”
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Oistad in 1999; parents, Luke Richard and Beulah (Nall) Shoulders; and son, Gary.
She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Stocker and husband, Mark of Evansville; grandchildren, Dava Cobb and husband, Joel, Marc Stocker, Adam Stocker and wife, Missy; great grandchildren, Ashlynn and Aiden Cobb, MacKenzie and Malisse Stocker, Sterlen and Payton Stocker.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Centenary UMC, 14340 Old State Road, officiated by Rev. Danny Walker, with private burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel and Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Centenary United Methodist Endowment Fund or Family Life Center at Centenary UMC.
