Herbert served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the 101st Airborne. He worked as a welder and draftsman for many years, most recently at Three I Engineering.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Durham; brother, Art Stofleth.
Herbert is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sandra J; daughters, Misty Anderson, April Rhoades, and Suzy Whitecotton (Brad); mother Mae Chaffin; brothers, Carl and Allen (Susanna) Durham, and grandchildren, Keegan, Taylor, Cody, Shay, Savana, Lily and Harrison.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Rev. Tony Payne, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the funeral home and Friday 9:30 a.m. until service time.
