Herbert Jankins, 96, of Evansville, IN passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born on December 7, 1928, in Milwaukee, WI to the late Frank and Dora (Soloveitchik) Jankins.
He was a Corporal with the National Guard during WWII and was proud to have attended the Honor Flight in 2025. Herbert was a Nursing Home Administrator for 30 years in Milwaukee and Evansville. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the Jewish faith. Herbert enjoyed classical music and was an avid sports fan.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Annette Jankins; second wife, Constance Jankins; brothers, Gerald and Ralph Jankins; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Jankins
He is survived by his sons, Michael Jankins (Debbie), Dan Jankins (Laura), and Charlie Jankins; grandchildren, Kayla, Dana, Nina, Aaron, Samantha, and Amy; great-granddaughter, Ava; and nieces and nephews.
No services will be held at Alexander East Chapel.
