

She was born June 21, 1948 at Deaconess Hospital, where her father helped build the physical therapy program, and her mother had worked as R.N. Ingrid taught third grade at Washington, IN until her mother's declining health caused her to move back home. Ingrid also worked at American General for a number of years.
Ingrid loved people, especially babies and children, and adored her nephews. She enjoyed shopping for baby gifts for anyone she knew with a baby. She was godmother to Ericka Young/Carter, and James Grahn. She traveled to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Hawaii, as well as the 48 mainland states.She married Sheldon Hauge, the love of her life, and they were inseparable until his illness and death in 2020.
Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen K. and Marcile Grahn; husband, Sheldon; and brother, Robert Grahn. She is survived by nephews, Andy Grahn of Troy, MO, and James Grahn of Pelham, N.Y.; also survived by Sheldon's cousin and close friend, Sue DeGraffenreid of Newburgh; and sister-in-law, Nancy Winternheimer of Evansville. Her special sense of humor, and her phone calls will be missed by all who knew her. Graveside service for family will be held with burial at Alexander Memorial Park.
