He retired from George Koch Sons after 47 years of employment and attended Forest Hills Wesleyan Church.
Irvin was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eloise; and brothers, Ronald and Ralph Weiss.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ellen Weiss; sons, Philip (Lisa) and Mark (Kim) Weiss; grandchildren, Philip (Sarah K.), Nicholas (Sarah), Benjamin, Eric (Alli) and Emily Weiss; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mike Stoelting, with burial in Immanuel Cemetery on Ford Road. The Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military Honors at the cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
