

James “Jim” E. Arvin, Jr., 63, of Evansville, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 5, 2015. He was born June 22, 1952, in Hopkinsville, KY to the late James E. and Bessie (Cole) Arvin, Sr.
He was a concrete truck driver for over 30 years and a graphic artist. His passion was hand lettering signs where he worked with many different organizations and businesses, many of whom became lifelong friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Bland; and brother, Gilbert Arvin.
He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Brown, Tricia (Sean S.) Arvin, and Jamie (Steve) Kessner; son, Robert (Aimee) Arvin; grandchildren, Ty, Stephen, Chance, Mak, Joy, Jade, Aslan, Alex, Beau, Summer, and Levi; brother, Gary (Karen) Arvin; sister-in-law, Theresa Arvin; one niece; and three nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 9, 2015, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Chad Brown, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
His family would like to thank two of Jim’s closest friends, Rick Elliott and Hobie Head, Deaconess Hospital, and SouthernCare Hospice for all their support.
