

James Edgar Draper, 71, of Evansville, passed from this world while at home surrounded by family on June 19, 2016. He was born March 11, 1945, in Franklin, KY to the late Robert E. and Julia Ann (Russell) Draper, Sr.
He was a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corp from 1966 to 1972. He was united in marriage to Judith (Price) DeLong on January 27, 1973. He retired from Keller-Crescent after many years of service and was a longtime member of the Hadi Shriners Scottish Rite of Evansville. James enjoyed working on cars, singing, and playing drums in his church choir. He was also a longtime member and trustee of Garvinwood General Baptist Church.
James was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Draper.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy; son, Jeff (Tricia) DeLong; daughter, Jennifer (Jon) Fain; brother, Robert E. Draper, Jr.; grandchildren, Codie (Angela), Kaitlyn, Jacob, and Jaxon; and great-granddaughter, Riley.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Matthew Murphy, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
