James retired from Lucent Polymers, Inc.in 2012. He was in the Army for three years and served in Vietnam. James loved watching sports, especially the Colts, Purdue, and Notre Dame football. He enjoyed fishing, listening to the Beatles, and spending time with friends at a few special neighborhood bars.
James was preceded in death by his father, Dewey; siblings, Tommy Litsey, Ginger Litsey, Debbie Wrinkles, and Tony and Natalie Fulkerson.
He is survived by his daughter, Velvet Wathen (David) and granddaughter, Cydney; son, Jeremy Sparks (Monica) and grandchildren, Serena and Christian; mother, Mae McIntire; brother, Troy McIntire (Lori); nephew, Reid; niece, Olivia; and many extended family members.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at the Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Chaplain Neal Hartzell. Family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Private family burial will be held at Alexander Memorial Park.
