James Robert Rider

James Robert Rider, 64, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012, at his home. He was born June 30, 1947, in Evansville. He was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam and was a member of VFW Post #1114. He retired in 2006 as a Mail Carrier and had worked for the US Postal Service for more than 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf, camping, fishing and woodworking. James was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Lee (Smith) Wambach. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rosalee Rider; daughters, Tammie (Mike) Hansen and Cindy (David) Goebel, all of Evansville; grandsons, Travis Hansen and Adam Goebel; granddaughter, Tiffany Hansen; father, Robert Rider of Indianapolis; sister, Becky Johnson and her husband; brother, Bobby Rider and his wife; and several step-brothers and sisters. Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel, officiated by Ref. Mark Sirnic. Friends may visit Tuesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the cemetery.
