

He retired in 2012 from Mead Johnson Nutritionals after 30 years of service. He was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1970-1972. James was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, where he loved playing trumpet in the orchestra. He enjoyed working out at the Mead Johnson Fitness Center and memorizing scripture. He was a member of Bible Study Fellowship, Red Brush Rifle Range and the NRA.
James is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marsha (Ayers) Stoneman; son, Wesley J. (Dusti) Stoneman of Savannah, GA; daughter, Julie D. (Eric) Grooms of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Smith and Clara Lynn Stoneman of Savannah, GA and Noelle and Wesley Grooms of Newburgh, IN; and sister, Jaqui Stoneman of Haslett, MI.
Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 10, 2013, at Christian Fellowship Church, 4100 Millersburg Road, officiated by Rev. Cliff Herring. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, and Friday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church.
