James “Jim” Everett Waller, 85, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at West River Health Campus. He was born February 2, 1937, in Washington, Indiana, to the late Jerry Robert and Elma Vivian (Holland) Waller.
Jim was a man of God and a member of the First Baptist Church, West Side Civitan Club and the MeJo Anglers. He was a Tour Guide for the Howell Wetlands. Jim was an avid bird watcher, and enjoyed tennis, fishing and reading about presidents. He retired in 1994 from Bristol Myers, after 32 years. He graduated in 1955 from Washington, Indiana High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from University of Evansville. He earned his MBA from Indiana State. Jim was a veteran in the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Anna Rees Waller; and sister-in-law, Jo Ann Nonte.
Jim is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn (Harris) Waller; daughter, Donna Waller; sons, Bill Waller (Marlene) and Brad Waller (Kellie); grandchildren, Clint Omohundro (Katie), Lauren Schoolfield (Neil), Jordan Waller, Shelby Mangold, Max Mangold (Robin), Cameron Waller (Kensie), and Collin Waller; great grandchildren, Silas Omohundro, Miriam Omohundro, Cortland Mangold, Lincoln Waller, great grandson on the way, Oliver James Waller, Jaxson Schoolfield, and Jordyn Schoolfield; brothers, Phil Waller (Charlynn), Dale Waller (Janet) and Jack Waller; brother-in-law, Tony Nonte; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, 320 Cherry Street, officiated by Rev. Steve Claspell, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
