He retired from the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation in 1990 where he had worked for 38 years.
James was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Genevia.
He is survived by his son, Jackie Ray Lutz of Island, KY; daughter, Shirley Ann (Gayle) Mattox of Big Spring, KY; son, James Richard Wooley of New Port Beach, CA; daughter, Deborah Jean (Brad) Rash of Lakewood, CO; sister, Annie Baker of Tacoma, WA; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-granchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Richard Meredith with burial at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
