Janice Lee Smith

Janice Lee Smith, 82, of Evansville, IN passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024. She was born in Otwell, IN on February 27, 1942. She graduated from Otwell High School in 1960, then went to Evansville and graduated from Lockyear Business College in 1962. Janice also got married in 1962. She worked at Plumbers Supply, Bucyrus Erie, Sterling Brewery, Ball Plastics and Ferro Corporation. She retired from Ferro Corp. in 2007. Janice loved flowers, going to yard sales, sewing, crocheting, and her dogs. She loved being retired, and being at home. Janice was preceded in death by her parents Lee Roy DeMotte and Helen Violet (Walters) DeMotte. She is survived by her children, Sandra Pryor (Mark), and Kevin Smith (Tonette); grandchildren, Joshua Pryor (Kaitlyn), Logan Pryor (Kayla), Cory Smith (Danielle), Sara Smith; great-grandchild, Madison Pryor; one brother; and two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
