On February 28, 1983 Jasmine was born to Betty Jo (Goff) Hayden in Evansville, IN. Later on in life she would meet the man she considered her father, Paul Hayden. Jasmine lived in Ezel, KY during college with her beloved aunt, uncle, and many cousins. She would meet her husband while attending Morehead. Jasmine rejoiced in being a mother who proudly homeschooled. She was a devoted member of Unitarian Universalist Church of Evansville.
As a self proclaimed Liberal, Jasmine had an over the top personality and was an endless well of knowledge. She gladly took on the title of nerdy with her many fandoms. Jasmine was from The House of Ravenclaw while happily being a Whovian. There was rarely a time when Jasmine wasn't knee deep in some sort of arts and crafts, rather it be as simple as a coloring book or crocheting something for a loved one. She was an extreme Green Bay Packers fan like both her mother and father. Anyone who was lucky enough to meet Jasmine knows she will never be forgotten.
Jasmine is preceded in death by her loving husband of 10 years, Brian Sturgill; and her mother Betty Jo Hayden.
She is survived by daughter, Kiernan Sturgill; father, Paul Hayden; brothers, Richard Westbrook (Adrienne), Larry Yarde (Melissa), Jacob Goff; Uncle Tom and Aunt Gretchen Pickerill; cousins, Brittany Bailey, Brianne Humphreys, Geri Humphreys, Kristan Pickerill, Brandon Pickerill; nieces and nephews, Luna, Griffin, Lavender, (Richard), Annabelle, Rosaleen, Lawrence, Eleonora, (Larry) Freya, Sara, (Jacob), Ember, (Nikki) Lyra, Sylvanas (Candice); good friends Tiffany Duerson, Kasi Leck; and many other friends not listed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. Doddie Stone. Friends may visit on Thursday from Noon until service time at the funeral home.
