Jason’s life was full of many memorable moments and events, and he never met a stranger. Despite his challenges, he enjoyed being the life of any party. He loved singing and listening to country music, especially his favorite CDs: Shania, Garth, Alan, the Oak Ridge Boys, and the Gaithers.
He was always up for a dune buggy ride or boating with his Daddy and he loved a good concert. He had an incredible knack for remembering people and was always happy to have a visitor. He loved game shows and watching shows on TV.
In earlier years, he loved going to the mall and eating out. Jason’s sense of humor was infectious and he could make people laugh with many of his funny sayings. He also loved having a stuffed animal to hold, his very favorite being Elmo.
Jason attended North Park Baptist Church when he was younger, and Salem UMC when he was older. He enjoyed participating in Special Olympics locally and at the State Games.
Jason is survived by his mother, Janet Anderson; father and stepmom, Scott and Kim Anderson; sister, Susan Anderson (Jason Pierce); step-sisters, Nancy Gordon (Derek) and family, and Amy Hendon (Alan); niece, Paislee Goley (Joey) and her children Lakelyn and Riverlyn; nephew, Blaine Skelton; niece, Hannah Minton (Aaliyah); Uncle Zane Anderson and family; Aunt Roxanne and Uncle Bill Schultz and family; and Uncle Bob and Aunt Libby Cunningham and family.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Jason’s uncle, Rev. Bob Cunningham, with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
