Jason was a 1988 graduate of Reitz High School where he was a member of the marching band. He worked for twenty plus years at Gibbs Die-casting in Henderson, KY. Jason was a 2012 graduate of the Culinary Arts program at Ivy Tech. He worked as a chef at Good Samaritan Home, Mead Johnson, The Women’s Hospital, St Vincent Hospital, AstraZeneca in Mt. Vernon, High Point child Care, Sisters of St Benedict in Ferdinand and most recently at Sodexo at USI.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Hillenbrand and aunt, Julia “Judy” Champlain.
Jason is survived by his wife of 26 years, Shawn Lyn (Kiser) Hillenbrand; daughter, Devin L. Hillenbrand and son, Reginald “Reggie” Hillenbrand; his mother, Joyce Ann Hillenbrand; brother, Thomas J. Hillenbrand II (Libby), and their children, Tommy and Tally as well as numerous other family and close friends who will dearly miss him.
Friends may visit 2:30 - 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 at Alexander West chapel, with a 6:30 p.m. Celebration of Life service.
