On Tuesday, September 28, 2021 our world as we knew it changed forever. We lost our loving husband, father, grandfather (Da), Jay Perigo. He passed while in his home that he shared with his wife of 43 years, Cindy Perigo (Goff).
He has left behind his son, Matthew; daughters, Kacie Whiteley (Chris), Haley Schmitt (Chris); and his nine grandchildren, Nathan and Lexi Perigo, Ryland, Eislin and Dylan Whiteley, Kahra, Kainen, Nyla and Trace Schmitt; siblings, Deborah Vannatter (Michael), Joan English (Bob), Stuart Perigo (Brenda); nieces and nephews.
Jay was a member of the Bricklayers Union Local #4, Bethel UCC and owner of Bartley and Perigo Masonry. He loved watching old westerns, spending time at the beach, sitting outside watching his bird feeders, being our family weather man, and most of all being “Da” to his grandchildren. Anytime you came by you would see him shooting hoops (showing no mercy), filling up “gas” in the kids’ bikes, or playing never ending games of war (or any game they asked). He will truly be missed everyday by all those who knew and loved him. He left us too soon, but we will always treasure our memories.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel. Friends may visit 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to United Caring Shelter/United Caring Services.
